Help Keep Our Students Safe: Important Notice to Parents Regarding Drop-off and Pickup

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO PARENTS

We have serious concerns about what is going on during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.

Families are double/triple parking, parking next to our cones, or parking in the middle of the street.  This can not happen as it is a safety issue for everyone involved, especially the children.  Staff members have spoken to several parents/guardians about this and have been met with disrespect and aggression.  This is unacceptable behavior for our children to witness from adults.  Our only concern is the safety and education of our students.  We have already had the Philadelphia police department to support us and issue tickets if necessary.

We also want our families to understand that if anyone continues to be disrespectful and aggressive, they will receive an exclusion from the property letter.  Please remember that our first priority is the safety of our students here at Thomas Holme.   Should you not see an open space to park next to the school, you can utilize Canstater’s parking lot across the street on the Academy Road side of the building.  There is a crossing guard there at the light that can assist with crossing the road.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.  Let’s have an amazing and safe school year.The Administrative Team
